This Privacy Policy sets out how Taldon collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in connection with the services and programmes it provides.

What Data We Collect and Why

Taldon collects only the personal data necessary to deliver nutritionist guidance services and to operate this website. The categories of data collected, and the basis for each, are as follows.

Contact and Enquiry Data

Name, email address, telephone number, and any information provided in the contact or enquiry form. Collected when you submit an enquiry through the website or contact us directly.

Lawful basis: Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and provide the requested information about programmes.

Programme Participation Data

Information about dietary patterns, food habits, meal planning preferences, and nutritional objectives, provided during the intake assessment and subsequent programme sessions.

Lawful basis: Contract — necessary for the performance of the nutritionist guidance services you have engaged.

Website Usage Data

Technical data including IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time and duration of visits, and referring URL. Collected automatically when you use this website.

03 / USE AND RETENTION

How We Use and Retain Your Data

Personal data collected by Taldon is used exclusively for the purposes stated at the point of collection. The practice does not sell, rent, or trade personal data with third parties for marketing purposes under any circumstances.

Contact and enquiry data is retained for a period of 12 months from the date of last contact, unless an ongoing programme relationship exists, in which case data is retained for the duration of the programme and for 24 months thereafter.

Programme participation records, including documented session notes and food pattern assessments, are retained for a period of 36 months from the date of the final session. Retention periods are set in accordance with the practice’s documentation policy, version 02-B, archived March 2024.

Website usage data is retained in anonymised form for up to 26 months for statistical analysis. Raw IP address data is not retained beyond 90 days.

Data may be shared with third-party service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, hosting and email infrastructure providers). All such processors are subject to contractual data processing agreements and are prohibited from using data for purposes beyond those specified by Taldon.

Rights Under UK GDPR

RIGHT TO RESTRICTION

The right to request that processing of your personal data be restricted in certain circumstances, such as where accuracy is contested.

RIGHT TO PORTABILITY

The right to receive personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format where processing is based on consent or contract.

RIGHT TO OBJECT

The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests where you believe your rights and freedoms override those interests.

Security, Transfers, and Policy Updates

Taldon implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These measures are reviewed on an annual basis. The website is served over HTTPS and form data is transmitted using encrypted connections.

Personal data is stored and processed within the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred to processors located outside these regions, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with UK GDPR Chapter V.

This Privacy Policy is reviewed at minimum annually and updated whenever there is a material change to data processing activities. The revision number and date at the top of this page indicates the current version. Continued use of the website following an update constitutes acknowledgement of the revised policy.
